In this new blog post, we’ll have a closer look at CardioCare@Home (specifically CardioCare AFib), exploring its unique features and benefits for cardiologists, hospitals, and patients.

In this article, we explore the current post-cryptogenic stroke care landscape, highlighting opportunities for improvement through (the adoption of) remote patient monitoring solutions. With these new tools, we hope to enhance post-stroke care by empowering healthcare professionals and hospitals, alleviating their pain points, and facilitating timely and accurate patient care.

One day, while at work, Jürgen began to feel uneasy. Jürgen decided to visit his doctor, but unfortunately, the initial examination yielded no clear diagnosis or explanation for his discomfort. A few weeks passed and one day, while driving in his car, he was overcome by a more severe episode, causing him to realize that his condition might be more serious than he had initially thought. Recognizing the need for further evaluation, Jürgen promptly returned to the doctor, who referred him to a cardiologist.

Remarkable progress has been made in the diagnosis and management of many types of cancer. Nowadays, patients have access to advanced diagnostic tools and increasingly more targeted treatment options, resulting in improved disability-free life expectancy. Consequently, we are also starting to understand the importance of managing cardiovascular damage that can be caused by many established and novel cancer treatments. In fact, this has led to the new subspeciality of cardio-oncology.

Back in 2021, we wrote a post with the subtitle “A personalizable seizure monitoring wearable for home use that extends the capabilities of specialized hospital equipment”. Since then, we have stayed passionately committed to the mission of tackling them on two fronts. This post will focus on what we have built since then, and how it is being used in practice to help people with epilepsy and their families right now.

Telehealth and telemedicine describe health care services rendered without face-to-face contact between a provider and patient, and the terms have been around for decades. However, the number of telehealth applications with demonstrable impact have been few and far between, despite the omnipresence of secure telecommunication technologies in most parts of the world.
